Larry Craft of Urbanna celebrates winning the recent Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad’s Super Bowl Raffle. Craft was excited to win the package, which included a 65-inch Samsung TV and Samsung sound bar donated by Walmart, as well as a cooler full of other goodies donated by other businesses in the county. The rescue squad thanks Hurd’s, J&W Seafood, Horn’s Middlesex Ace Hardware, M&M Building Supply, Norton’s Yacht Sales, River Birch Gifts, Eddie’s Auto and West Marine for their help with this raffle. In addition to quality patient care, fundraising is an important part of the rescue squad’s mission. Billing does not cover the costs of running three stations, six-plus ambulances, and all the other expenses involved, so community participation is necessary. “Thank you to our community for your continued support of the MCVRS!” a squad spokesman said.
