This year’s Middlesex High School Lady Charger varsity volleyball team has 11 players returning from last year’s squad that went to the State Class 1 finals, where they finished as runner-up to Giles.
Last season the Lady Chargers (25-3) were undefeated in the Tidewater District and Region A play.
“We are a stronger team this year than we were last year,” said varsity Lady Charger Coach Brian Walton. That could forecast good things for this season, since a year ago, Coach Walton said the 2025-2026 team was the strongest team he had coached.
