St. Clare Walker National Junior Honor Society members Alaina Taylor, Morgan Pullman and Sarah Laster organized a community project for the local Middlesex County Animal Shelter. “We would like to say thank you to the Middlesex Moose Lodge for hosting our spaghetti dinner, bake sale, and silent auction!” said a spokesman for the group. Thank you to all the businesses who advertised our flyers and a special thank you to each of our local businesses who generously contributed items for our silent auction, including Ace Hardware, Something Different, River Birch, Northern Neck Popcorn Bag, River Wood Works, Compass Entertainment Complex, M&M Building Supply, Deltaville Maritime Museum and Bedrocks Bounty. Thank you to our amazing community for coming out to help us make a positive difference, we couldn’t have done it without you! You all contributed to our success in raising $1,500; achieving our goal of making the animals at the Middlesex County Animal Shelter feel all the more loved and comfortable as they wait for their forever homes!”
