Robert Henry “Bob” Pratt, Colonel, United States Army (Ret.), 93, of Deltaville, passed away peacefully from complications of lung disease at his home on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, surrounded by his family and friends.
Bob was born in Ridge, Md., on Aug. 26, 1933, to George William Pratt and Hattie Elizabeth Pratt (Naumann), and was the eighth of 10 children born to George and Hattie. Bob served proudly in the United States Army for more than three decades, retiring at the rank of full colonel. In retirement, Bob enjoyed boating, fishing, and golfing with his family and friends made around the world. Though he will be deeply missed, Bob’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his former wife of 32 years, Janice Pratt. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, George William “Bill” Jr., Steven Mark, Edwin Louis Sr., and James Irving “Tinks”; and his sisters, Hattie Anita, Alice Adelaide, and Agnes Lorrine “Jimmie.”
