Robert Harris Hudgins Jr., 85, of Tappahannock, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023.
He was a strong Washington Redskins and Jeff Gordon fan. He also enjoyed his time as a karate instructor, fishing, piloting airplanes, riding his trike, and all things motorcycles. Robert was a passionate supporter of Tunnels to Towers.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Laverne Hudgins; parents, Maisey and Robert H. Hudgins Sr.; sisters, Ruth Temple Baylock (Robert) and Judith Ainsley.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert H. Hudgins III (Edie), Donna Powell (Gary), Melody Hemby (Tom); sisters, Rose Ellen Harper (Charles), Wanda Lee Laing (Neil); brother-in-law, Davis Ainsley; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Ephesus Baptist Church, Dunnsville.
