Bay Transit staff promotes free rides to RCC students

Through a partnership with Rappahannock Community College (RCC) announced last year, Bay Transit, a division of Bay Aging, officially started providing free rides to RCC students who commute to or from any of their campuses using Bay Transit. Last November, at ribbon-cutting ceremonies to celebrate the installation of new Bay Transit bus shelters at the RCC Warsaw and Glenns campuses, Dr. Shannon Kennedy announced the partnership with Bay Transit that demonstrated RCC’s commitment to making their campuses more accessible than ever before. “I am very pleased to announce that beginning in January, our RCC Educational Foundation has decided that they will subsidize all rides for our students,” Kennedy said. “There will be no cost to students who ride to and from RCC campuses on Bay Transit.”
