Protest coming up at old courthouse in Saluda

A peaceful protest is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Middlesex County Historic Courthouse, Middlesex County Democratic Party Chairman Hallie Holmes announced in an email to the Sentinel. Clergy and faith leaders are invited.

“Bring your signs, bring your chairs, bring your water,” Holmes said. “A bathroom will be available and it will be handicapped accessible.” The protest is in response to the effects of the current administration, Holmes added. It is weather permitting.

She said additional future peaceful protests are planned for Middlesex.
