At a recent meeting of the Middlesex Kiwanis Club, Kiwanians recognized Judy Wade and Beth Permelia as their newest honorary members. Middlesex residents and visitors will recognize Wade as the proprietor of the Virginia Street Café. Permelia may have served you as she and Judy have served Middlesex Kiwanians their dinners for the past 32 years.

Fun facts about the newest Middlesex Kiwanians: Wade describes herself as a “Navy Brat.” She was a National Honor Society student at Williamsburg High School, and a first-class Girl Scout. She earned her associates degree in Business at Rappahannock Community College.

Permelia grew up on Anna Maria Island on Florida’s Gulf of Mexico coast. Her hobbies include baking, hunting, and oil painting. She and her husband live in Gloucester and have enjoyed entering powerlifting competitions together.
