Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will present a Night of Praise this Saturday night, Oct. 17. The show will feature the house band, Shades of Country, and all of the Opry singers, including some special guests, performing contemporary worship music as well as the traditional and Southern Gospel standards everyone loves.
The show will be at Mathews High School’s Harry M. Ward auditorium. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
From George Strait’s “I Saw God Today” to hymns like “How Great Thou Art” and “Farther Along” to newer Christian hits by Cece Winans, Toby Mac and Elevation Worship, the music on this show will be a variety that is synonymous with the Opry.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Mathews Visitor Center in Mathews and Marketplace Antiques on U.S. Route 17 in Hayes. Tickets are also available at the door on show night starting at 6:30 p.m.
Mark your calendars for our final two shows of the season. The Opry will perform at West Point High School for Arts Alive on Nov. 14 and will return to Mathews High School for the Smith Family and Friends Christmas Show on Dec. 5.
