A baby miniature horse, born earlier this spring — April 18 — at Little Wonder Horse Farm in Wake, was just days old when this photo was taken. It may grow up to pull a mini cart or perform in the show ring for farm owners David and Jackie Hooks. Spring, now about two-thirds past, is recognized across cultures and religions as a time of birth, rebirth and renewal.
