Zoar Baptist Church in Deltaville celebrated its mortgage note burning last Sunday. The church was able to pay a 15-year loan in 5 years through church member pledges, fundraisers and donations from friends of the church in the community and throughout the country. The sanctuary was renovated after the tornado destroyed it in 2011. Pictured above is the note-burning celebratory cake.
