Chandler Automotive upset the regular season junior league champions Empowered Electric LLC, 25-21, and J&M Rizinz Starz crushed Ward’s Landscaping, 47-39, in the finals of the senior league game Saturday at the John S. Clements Memorial Gymnasium at Middlesex High School.
In junior league action, Chandler Automotive was paced by Jaysion Shackleford and Dominaco Diaz-Bey who scored 6 points each in the game. Adorian Lee and Levi Oliver contributed 5 points each, and Aria Ward contributed 2 points.
Chandler had a pair of 9-point quarters, the first and fourth quarters, that secured the win over Empowered Electric LLC. Empowered was paced by Jackson Hopper with 9 points and Lincoln Billups with 7 points. McKinley Washington had 3 points and Michael Lewis III scored 2.
In senior league play, J&M Rizinz Starz was paced by Anthony Billups Jr. who scored 17 points in the game. Chase Shaver, 10 points; Talley Bray and Peyton Smith, 8 points; and Anthony Hodges and Avery Weston, 2 points each.
Ward’s Landscaping was paced by Andrew Reyes and Christian Terry who scored respectively 19 and 17 points in the game and provided most of Ward’s offense. Others to score were Treyvon Young, 2 points, and Nicholas Terry scored 1 point.
