Middlesex hoop girls defeat Nandua, 36-33

The Middlesex High School girls basketball team came away from Nandua on Friday, Feb. 7, with a 36-33 road win.

The Lady Chargers had built an 11-point lead early in the fourth quarter and turned back a late run by Nandua. Middlesex stats include Brooklyn Horace 10 points; Allysa Hooks, 8; Rylee Buck 9; Anaiya Billups, 6; and Shania Bland, 3.The varsity Lady Chargers were snowed out from hosting Charles City on Tuesday; and  are scheduled to host King and Queen Central tonight, Thursday, Feb. 13, with the tip-off set for 6:15 p.m. Neither opponent has a JV team.

The Charger girls are 4-10 overall with a 3-5 Tidewater District record. They are in fourth place in the district.
