The Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger varsity and junior varsity football season opens this week, with MHS hosting a 6 p.m. scrimmage at the Syd Thrift Athletic Complex tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 15.
The Chargers will host four teams, Gloucester High School Dukes, Mathews High School Blue Devils, Norfolk Christian Academy Ambassadors and CVE, a home school group.
Middlesex will also host a second scrimmage on Friday, Aug. 22, 6-9 p.m. The teams for that scrimmage are yet to be announced.
MHS varsity team will kick off its regular season with a rare Thursday game set for Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. with an away game to play the Surry County Panthers.
