Middlesex Elementary School announces Aug. 14 open house; releases supply lists

Middlesex Elementary School (MES) recently announced its open house, which is set for 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at MES at 823 Philpot Road in Locust Hill.

School starts for students on Monday, Aug. 18.

Each kindergartener needs:

• Two packs of Crayola crayons (24 pack)
• Two packs of sharpened #2 pencils
• One plastic crayon box (8 5/8 X 5 3/4 X 2 1/5 h)
• Twelve glue sticks
• One pair of scissors (preferably Fiskars)
• Two boxes of tissues
• One set of plug-in over-the-head headphones (no earbuds)
• One container of disinfecting wipes
• One roll of paper towels
• One pack of black medium tip dry erase markers (4 pack)
• One box of gallon Ziploc bags — If your student’s last name begins with the letters A-M
• One box of quart Ziploc bags — If your student’s last name begins with the letters N-Z
• One change of clothes in a gallon Ziploc bag, labeled with your student’s name

Each first grade student needs:

• Two packs of Crayola crayons (24 pack)
