Middlesex Marlins edged by Lancaster during Locust Hill LL action Saturday

The Middlesex County Little League Marlins lost, 7-6, to the Lancaster Dream Fields team on Saturday at the Middlesex County Sports Complex in Locust Hill.

The Marlins were paced by pitcher Clayton Powell, who showed steady control on the mound until late in the game, resulting in Braden Bruce coming on in relief to finish the contest.

With a 6-5 lead going into the top of the sixth, the Dream Fields team added a buffer run by scoring after loading the bases and raising the score to 7-5.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Marlins’ Waylon Foster reached first base on a walk and stole second and third bases. Foster stole home on a passed ball to raise the score to 7-6.
