Middlesex boys and girls track athletes do well at meet against King William

The Middlesex High School (MHS) boys and girls track and field teams competed against King William on Thursday, April 21, and had some good performances.

MHS Head Boys Track Coach Joel Anderson said, “The boys and girls teams did a nice job. I do not have final scores and it wasn’t on milestat. But we had some good marks!”

Nathan Campbell in boys track paced the Chargers by winning the 400 meter dash (53.77).

Others who excelled were Jaquan Griffin, first, long jump (20’2.5”) and second, triple jump (38’9”) and Rowan Anderson, first, triple jump (38’11.5”) and third, long jump (18’5.5”).

Girls track

The Lady Chargers were paced by Chelsey Holmes, first place, 100 meters (13.65); and Dominae Ivery, first place, high jump (4’6”), second place, triple jump (27’7.5”), and third place, long jump (12’9.5”).

The Chargers and Lady Chargers will compete at Charles City High School today, Thursday, April 28. The meet will start at 4 p.m. MHS qualifiers will also participate in the Gloucester Invitational Track meet at Gloucester High School starting at 7 a.m. this Saturday, April 30.
