The Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity Lady Charger volleyball team eliminated Northampton from the Region 1A Tournament on Monday, Nov. 2, winning the quarterfinal matchup 3-0.
Middlesex (21-2) is the top seed and is considered the tournament “host,” but the John S. Clements Memorial Gymnasium floor at MHS was damaged by stormwater late last summer and has not been repaired. So, Middlesex is “hosting” the tournament at Mathews High School.
Middlesex is set to play the winner of the Mathews (#4) and West Point (#5) match today, Thursday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m.in the region semifinal.
