MHS v’ball team tops in Tidewater

The Middlesex High School varsity volleyball team is 6-1 after four recent wins and leads the Tidewater District.

On Sept. 5, the Lady Chargers won in four sets at King William, 25-18, 25-21, 25-14 and 25-23.

On Sept. 12, Middlesex swept Lancaster in three sets, 29-27, 25-23 and 25-21 for a road win.

On Sept. 13, the Lady Chargers defeated visiting King and Queen, 25-16, 25-15 and 25-11.

On Sept. 14 at Mathews, the Lady Chargers won, 25-16, 25-9 and 25-18. The JV Lady Chargers also won at Mathews.

The Lady Chargers are at West Point tonight, Thursday, Sept. 21. The Lady Chargers host Northumberland on Sept. 25; and King William on Sept. 28.

The JV plays at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity follows at 7 p.m.
