On Aug. 30, the Chargers defeated Mathews 170-233 at the Piankatank River Golf Course in Hartfield, the MHS home course. Freshman Charger Kai Evans shot the match low score 39 and teammate junior Nielsen McMinn was right behind with a 40.

Hudson McMinn shot a 44 and Abel Crader shot 47.

On Aug. 31, Middlesex got a road win at West Point, 186-238. Kai Evans was again low score with a 42. Abel Crader shot 46. Hudson McMinn shot 44 and Caleb Jackson shot 54.

“Everyone is playing solid and consistent golf right now,” said MHS Coach David Lutz, adding that recent matches have been some of the lowest team scores since he and coach Steve Dunkel started coaching at Middlesex three years ago. “We are excited to see how the rest of the season shapes up,” said Lutz.
