Lewis “Stuart” Daniel, 79, of Hartfield, passed away on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025.
Stuart was known for his love of the outdoors. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed camping and traveling to new places. He never met a piece of junk he couldn’t turn into something handy. If it couldn’t be fixed the normal way, Stuart had his own way, and it usually worked.
Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis S. Daniel Sr. and Olivia Daniel; brother, George Daniel; and sister, Bessie Guthrie.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Powell Daniel; sons, Stuart Ashley Daniel (Andrea), Charles W. Faulkner III; daughter, Amanda Faulkner; grandsons, Christopher Daniel, Chas Faulkner, Isaac Faulkner; granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Lane; great-grandchildren, Katie and Wyatt Daniel; brothers, Gene Daniel, Ron Tappen; and brother-in-law, Paul Guthrie.
The family wishes to thank Riverside Walter Reed Hospice for their compassionate care, and especially Susan Cox, not only for her loving care, but for being family in every way that matters.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hands Across Middlesex, P.O. Box 85, Locust Hill, VA 23092.
