Leona Harris Edwards, 76, of Kilmarnock passed away at her home on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025.
She was born on Oct. 9, 1948.
She was predeceased by her parents, John Milton Harris and Katherine Stevens Harris Schneider; and her husband, George Vester Edwards.
She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Barner (Oliver) of Midlothian; son, George Duane Edwards of Chester; four grandchildren, Nathan, Delani, Jacob and Cole; and two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Waylon. She is also survived by four sisters, Irma Ryman of Remlik, Bonnie Estep (Dean) of Heathsville, Laverne Pierce (James) and Eunice Harris of Kilmarnock.
A memorial service was conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock. The family received friends an hour prior to the service.
