Many winners in 100-plus field
The Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association hosted its annual Golf Invitational on Thursday, July 31, at the Piankatank River Golf Club in Hartfield. This year’s theme was “Peace, Love and Golf” with modified team competition, individual challenges, raffles, food and fun organized by planning committee members Gloria Matthews, Donna Lange, Michele Meanley, Kay Stout, Kayce Turner and Bev Tate.
Twenty-six teams com-prised of 103 women from Middlesex County and the surrounding area, as well as from regional destinations and other golf leagues and courses, participated in the team game of two best balls gross and net with a “peace out” play token.
