Grady Carl Springs, 90, of Middlesex County, passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2020 in Gloucester.
He was born in Washington, D.C. and was the son of the late Getnie and Katie Mae Springs.
He served four years in the United States Navy. He retired from the prison system in Washington, D.C.
His love for Christ led him to be become a member of Apostolic Faith Church in Urbanna.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Springs; and cherished children, Grady Carl Springs Jr., Carla Springs Cooper, Evelyn Bland, Antonitte Williams, Angela Bland and Sharia Bland. He is also survived by sisters, brothers, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The viewing is planned for 4-5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 at the funeral home. A private service will follow at 5 p.m. under the direction of J.K. Redmond Funeral Home, Shacklefords. State-mandated guidelines will apply to all attendance, including performing social distancing and wearing appropriate face coverings.
