
Gaylee Humbert Malone
Gaylee Humbert Malone, 81, born April 28, 1940, a 10-year resident of Urbanna, went to be with our Lord on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disorder. She passed away peacefully with her loving family present at the Pearl Memory Care in Midlothian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry C. Humbert and Ednell Williamson Humbert, both of Texas, and her son-in-law Thomas Clifton Janney (Melanie).
She is survived by her soul mate husband, Paul Malone of Urbanna; five children, Kevin Glasscock (Mary) of Vienna, David Glasscock (Andee) of Louisa, Douglas Glasscock (Natalie) of Glen Allen, Melanie (Glasscock) Janney of Midlothian, and Edward Glasscock of Washington, D.C. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren,
Karl Glasscock (Mary) of Glen Allen, Heather Glasscock Walker (Daniel) of Chesterfield, Jeffery Glasscock (Kim) of Louisa, Jacob Glasscock of Glen Allen, Billy Enroughy of Glen Allen, Kathryn Glasscock of Vienna, John Glasscock of Vienna, Logan Janney of Midlothian, Luke Janney of Chattanooga, Tenn., Taylor Janney Lawrence (Jay) of Nashville, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren, Maddi Glasscock of Glen Allen, Emily Glasscock of Glen Allen, Aiden Walker of Chesterfield, Olivia Walker of Chesterfield, Layla Garret of Chesterfield; numerous step-children and step-grandchildren; nephews; and one brother, Jay Humbert (Sharon) of Robinson, Texas.
Gaylee spent her younger years in Los Alamos, N.M. during the World War II Manhattan Project for which her father was the master machinist. She was a graduate of Mart High School in Texas, and received her bachelor’s degree in Art from Virginia Commonwealth University. She was a singer (search Gaylee Malone on YouTube), songwriter, poet, artist and co-owned a medical supply company (Hagen and Humbert) in Richmond. She loved life and people. With her beautiful white/blond hair, turquoise blue eyes, big smile and infectious personality, she brought love and joy to virtually all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be conducted at the Urbanna Baptist Church on Saturday, March 26, at 11 a.m. to be followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
