The public is invited to join the Mathews-Middlesex Master Gardeners for a free pruning class with a demonstration as part of the group’s February 11 meeting. Allan Hull from Peninsula Hardwood Mulch Inc. will be the presenter.
The program will follow the Master Gardeners’ short business meeting, which begins at 9:30 a.m. at Piankatank River Golf Club in Hartfield. A special menu lunch will be available for attendees at the restaurant following the meeting. You will learn the difference between pruning tools, when to prune the plants in your yard, basics of pruning (where to cut, and the different styles of pruning).
