Frederick Wayne “Ricky” Burch, 69, of Water View, the treasured son of the late Jack Covington Burch, and Susie Elma (Polly) Covington Burch, of Essex County, transitioned peacefully from this life on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, in Tappahannock.
Born on March 8, 1955, in Richmond, Ricky was known for his soft-spoken, reserved demeanor, and his profound love for family. He cherished moments spent with his family, embodying the role of caring and supportive husband, brother, uncle, and friend.
On May 2, 1986, he was united in holy matrimony to his soulmate Betty Verlander of Water View. The two dwelled in the loving home his bride Betty was raised in, for 38 years.
