The Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office will host its second annual “Shop and Dine with a Deputy” event to support youths for Christmas.
Sheriff David Bushey said he was impressed by community support during the first event as well as the joy that youths expressed. One child said it was his first time eating in a restaurant.
“This event will help support 12 families for Christmas and continue to build the relationship between local law enforcement, our youth and the public school system,” said Sheriff Bushey.
The sheriff’s office is asking for donations to support this event or to sponsor a child for up to $200. Each child will receive a $200 gift card to shop for themselves and/or their family.
