Donald Y. Nobles, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, craftsmanship, and cherished family memories.
Born on Jan. 24, 1934, Don spent his life building — not only homes, but also a foundation of love and hard work that shaped his family and community. A respected real estate broker with the family business, Town and Country Realty, and a skilled home builder, Don took great pride in his work. His efforts helped create neighborhoods where others built lives of their own.
Don had a lifelong love for Deltaville, where he spent all of his summers since childhood and married his first love Peggy Games Nobles. It always remained his favorite place — a peaceful retreat filled with tradition, sunsets on the water, crabbing, fishing and time well spent with loved ones.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Peggy Games Nobles of Deltaville.
He is survived by his son, Don Nobles (Terry); and grandsons, Joseph (Lauren) and Jacob Nobles; his daughter, Janet Morehart (Mike); and granddaughter, Amanda Freeman and grandson Wren Woodward. Donald also leaves behind his sisters, Yates Nobles and Barbara Altizer (Charlie), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss his warmth and wisdom.
Don’s life was one of quiet strength, deep devotion to family, and appreciation for the simple joys in life. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
A private life family celebration will be conducted to honor his life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you remember Don by spending a quiet moment by the water or with those you love — just as he would have wished.
