cockrellDianne Elizabeth Cockrell (Dianne Cockrell Stokes) passed away unexpectedly at Riverside Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

Dianne, affectionately known as “Cupcake,” was born to the late Nellie Pitman (Walden) and William Cockrell on April 2, 1955.

She attended Rappahannock Community College for two years and received acceptance to the College of William and Mary, but her family commitments prevented her from pursuing this opportunity.

While no service is planned at this time, a celebration of life will be conducted at a later date.
