Christchurch student shares trip info with congregation

Maya Sirles, 16, shared details of her recent six-month study exchange in Argentina with congregation members of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church of the Rappahannock (UUFR) in White Stone on Sunday, Jan. 8.

She is a junior in her first year at Christchurch School in Middlesex County. Last year she was an exchange student in Argentina for six months, in Luján, Buenos Aires, population 107,000. She returned home to West Point in early July.

Sirles traveled on a full scholarship provided by Youth for Understanding, an international program that has served students on six continents since the 1950s. She stayed with a host family as she learned Spanish and attended the local high school
