Celebrate the third anniversary of Christ Church Parish’s Creation Care Garden, a ministry blooming right off General Puller Highway in front of the Episcopal church. Its garden is bursting with freshly planted “veggies,” ready to nourish our community through weekly harvests for the Hands Across Middlesex Food Pantry this summer.
Last year, the Christ Church gardeners shared lettuce, tomatoes, beans, and peppers, filling to-go bags for the Cryer Center in Harmony Village. This spring, they have expanded the garden with big dreams of a bumper crop in 2025!
Join them for their Garden Party Open House event on Sunday, June 1, from 4-7 p.m. at the Creation Care Garden, located at Christ Church Parish, 56 Christchurch Lane, Christchurch.
Enjoy lemonade and light snacks while you visit. Bring your friends and family to see the beauty of growing food for others.
They are also calling for volunteers. Whether you have a green thumb or just a willing heart, they would love your help tending the garden, harvesting crops, or supporting deliveries to the Food Pantry. Every hand makes a difference in feeding your neighbors. Come grow with them. “See you in the garden,” an event rep said.
