Cheryl Fary Hunt, of Locust Hill, born Nov. 5, 1947, departed this life on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
Wearing her signature gown and robe, she ascended into Heaven where she was greeted with open arms by our Heavenly Father and her beloved parents, the late George E. and Betty M. Fary.
Cheryl spent most of her working life in the food service industry, and for many years you could find her behind the deli counter at the Food Lion in Saluda, where she cultivated many loving and lasting friendships.
Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Dorian Nicole Lawson (Chris); son, Lance Edward Martin (Holly); grandchildren, Shane Lawson (Tiana), Taylor Lawson, Layni Martin and Luke Martin; her loving brother and sisters; and her feline friends “Sassy” and “Oliver.”
Visitation is planned for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home in Saluda.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests giving a smile and a hug to someone in need. The family would like to thank Layni Martin for her exceptional care.
