Deltaville rescue squad bingo fun returns following COVID-19 hiatus

by Larry Chowning –

After 29 weeks without bingo games at the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad (MCVRS) building in Deltaville, the games started back Monday, Oct. 5.

A major fundraiser for MCVRS, the weekly Monday games had been cancelled due to COVID-19. Publicity chairman of the MCVRS Ladies Auxiliary June Williams said doors open at 5 p.m. at the rescue squad building and games start at 7 p.m. The squad’s building is at 17684 General Puller Highway in Deltaville.

“It has been over 20 weeks since we have had bingo and this is a good fundraiser for the squad,” said Williams.

The food bar will be open but there will be restrictions and seating limits due to COVID-19. “Come early to grab your spot,” said Williams. “Support your local volunteer rescue squad.”
