Barbara J. Wright, 82, of Deltaville, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023.
Mrs. Wright was born May 13, 1941, the daughter of the late Frank and Marie Haywood. She was the wife of the late William Franklin Wright.
During her working career, Barbara was a waitress at Taylor’s Restaurant in Deltaville for 37½ years. She was the heart of her family, a devoted sister, a wonderful mother and grandmother and was affectionately known as “Little Nannie” by her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed making silk floral arrangements, jewelry and Christmas decorations. Barbara enjoyed the holidays spent with family and was famous for her candied yams.
