Believe it or not Christmas is just around the corner.
The first gift you should pick up this year is the 2022 Deltaville Community Association (DCA) Christmas ornament. The ornament this year recognizes the 75th anniversary of Deltaville Ballpark. They are going to go fast. Stop by Hurd’s Hardware or Nauti Nell’s gift shop and pick one up. The cost again this year will be $20. You can pay with cash or a check made out to the DCA.
Each year the DCA works to decide what would work for the Deltaville Christmas ornament — something that is related to Deltaville. What is more appropriate than the Deltaville Ballpark? With it being 75 years old, it was decided that this is what it should be.
Stephen Blue was asked to take one of the Christmas trees from his Christmas display in town and place it at the ballfield. He was assisted by Bev Butler and Randy Blue.
Enjoy hanging this piece of history on your Christmas tree this year. Stephen and Randy Blue did a wonderful job on the history of the ballpark that is on the back of the box.
