Virginia Motor Speedway announces its new 2021 racing schedule

After a very disappointing 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, Virginia Motor Speedway officials are excited to release the 2021 schedule and announce the return of racing.

It will mark the 52nd season of action at the half-mile speed track in the Jamaica community of Middlesex County.

“To say we are excited about getting back to racing would be an understatement. We are making changes to keep our competitors and fans safe on a race night, to include hand sanitization stations spread throughout the facility and enhanced cleaning methods,” said track owner Bill Sawyer.

The 2021 season will open on Saturday, April 3, with Dirt Series Championship weekly racing action featuring a full program that will include the Victory Lap Pro Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock divisions.

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway is a half-mile, dirt oval. The track is located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, and 25 miles south of Tappahannock in Jamaica.
