County to revisit Whiting Creek landing plan

The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors (MCBS) agreed on Wednesday, Nov. 4, to revisit a project originally spearheaded by former Harmony Village Supervisor the late Jack Miller to upgrade and provide more parking space at the Whiting Creek public boat landing and ramp in Locust Hill.

Harmony Village Supervisor Reggie Williams and County Planning Director Dave Kretz have revived an old plan that calls for installation of a “sand and oyster shell fill” bulkheaded parking area that will provide more parking space for trucks and trailers.

When the project was first studied, the estimated cost ranged between $50,000-$90,000.

Since that first cost estimate, it was suggested that costs of development might have come down…
