He was a member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church in Dutton and was also a member of The Boozefighters Motorcycle Club. He was a valued employee at WestRock in West Point, where he worked for the past 19 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jenny Martin; cherished daughter, Avery Martin; uncle, Paul Volk (D’ Nelle) of California; aunt, Betty Kaeo of Hawaii; mother and father-in-law, Allen and Bonnie Smith of Mathews; and his sister-in-law, Mindy Abram (Marvin) of Newport News. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral service was 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at Locust Grove United Methodist Church and burial followed in the church cemetery. An education fund for Avery will be set up through Sonabank in Hartfield.
