Even amid coronavirus crisis, one can encounter good news

Who has some good news?

A conversation with Sentinel columnist Thyra Harris of Deltaville was “the bridge” that started me looking for the brighter side of life. Looking out my car window for good news late last week I found something to get my mind off the drudgery.

Dog Finn had been digging in the backyard on Friday morning, the second day of spring,—so he got a bath. “It’s a beautiful day and a great day to ride on a golf cart and get dried off after a bath,” said his human Melinda Bishop of Urbanna. Asked for some good news, she said, “You can’t worry too much if you can get outside.”

Tom Bishop had plans to clean the boat and then an afternoon of golf.

Alana Courtney was staying home and cleaning her laundry room—a long neglected chore—and something that is conducive to social distancing…
