Susan Johnson of White Stone’s InsideOut Yoga will be co-leading Sun Salutations, a special yoga workshop with retired physical therapist Ginger Houck. The Guardian Program fundraiser is set for 9:30 a.m.-noon Sunday, March 6 at the Northern Neck Family YMCA in Kilmarnock. The cost of the workshop is $40. The Guardian Program is the YMCA’s scholarship fund that ensures no one is turned away from membership or programs if he or she can’t afford the stated fees.
Johnson continued, “Whether you’re brand new to yoga or have years of practice under your belt, our goal is to help you understand how to make these foundational poses work for your own body so that you’ll not only become stronger and/or more flexible, you’ll develop skills that will keep your practice safe and sustainable for years to come.”
