Richard Howlett Wells passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, after a long battle with prostate cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence R. Wells and Caroline H. Wells, as well as his beloved aunt, Wilnet Lockett.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda K. Wells; daughter, Christy Wells of Powhatan; son, Michael Wells and his wife, Diane, of Fort Mill, S.C.; grandchildren, Colby Woodleif, Courtney Wells and Kyle Wells.
Richard was a true entrepreneur, as he loved creating businesses.
His favorite was Howletts Tavern in Chesterfield. He also worked heavily in construction. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
