Middlesex High School’s Peyton Lambert shot a 77 on Tuesday to earn the title of individual champion of the Tidewater District Tournament at King William’s Queenfield Golf Club.
The second best individual score was 80 by Michael Knoeller of King William High School, whose team score was 324, to Middlesex’s 352 and Mathews’ 435.
The Charger golf team will compete at the Region 1A Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 30 at the Golden Eagle Golf Course in Irvington.
In the district play, Chargers Garrison Robins and Kolby Moore each shot a 90. Thomas Wilson shot a 95. Hudson McMinn and Cameron Lambert each shot 100.
The top four scores are used to determine the team’s total score.
