Middlesex County Public Schools had a significant drop in COVID-19 cases during Oct. 2-8 with only five positive cases and 27 quarantined because of contact at school/bus.
This was coming off the week of Sept. 25-Oct. 1 where the school system had 19 individual positive COVID-19 cases and 67 being quarantined, the highest weekly number since school started.
“We are pleased to see a reduction in positive cases and the number of individuals required to quarantine because of exposure in school,” said school superintendent Dr. Tracy Seitz in an email to parents.
“We continue to follow the layered mitigation strategies we have in place and thank you for your assistance in keeping our schools safe…
