
Dr. Rachel Previs Ball is the first alumnae director of Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School (CBGS). She graduated from King William High School and CBGS in 2004 and is excited to be a part of the program that served as a catalyst for her own professional endeavors. Dr. Ball completed her undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg. Her graduate studies were in the area of educational policy, planning and leadership.
Dr. Ball said she feels honored and privileged to have the opportunity to serve as Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School Director. Her professional experiences, ties to the program and community, and her passion for its values contribute to her personal investment in the mission of CBGS, as these values were instilled during her time as a student.
Dr. Ball resides in Essex County with her family. She loves spending time with her family, including her twins, Mary Elizabeth and Warner, and her husband Carter.
