Earl T. Ruffin was born March 6, 1930. He passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Caleb and Grace Ruffin; two sisters, Dorothy Callahan and Vivian Archibald; and one brother, Morris Ruffin (Dorothy Lee).
Earl will be forever remembered by his devoted wife of 53 years, Fannie Mae Ruffin; two sons, Larry (Bonnie) McDonald and Anthony L. Ruffin; one daughter, Janene (Eric) Bryant; eight grandchildren, Cleyardis (Anthony) McDonald-Amaker, Clayton (Lolita) McDonald, Clinton (Lalia) McDonald, Caleb McDonald, Courtland McDonald, Annie Mae Bryant, Florence Grace “Flossie” Bryant and Candice McDonald; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Elmore Hodges and Norman (Hortense) Hodges; two sisters-in-law, Cornelia H. Miller and Schreinaer B. Hodges; and a host of nieces, nephews along with countless other friends and family.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 4, at J.K. Redmond Funeral Home, Shacklefords.
Interment will be in the family cemetery. The viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
