Saluda Baptist Church (SBC), 960 General Puller Highway, Saluda will host its monthly “Movie Nite” event on Friday, Aug. 28, at 6:30 p.m. The title of the movie is “God’s Here.”
Admission to the movie is free and the SBC crew will serve up plenty of free pizza, popcorn and drinks.

Zion Hill Baptist Church, 10256 Indian Road, Gloucester, Women’s Ministry will have its Women Empowered To Grow In Christ Conference at Abingdon Ruritan Club, Hayes, on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. The cost for tickets, which includes lunch is $40 (ages 13 and older), $20 (ages 4-12), and free (ages 3 and younger).
The conference speakers will be Minister Michele Webster of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Gloucester; Dr. Nell Bagby-Robinson of Zion Baptist Church, Cardinal; Dr. Valerie Matthews of CBC World Ministry, Toano; and Pastor Donna Freeman of Morning Glory Baptist Church, Gloucester.

Lower United Methodist Church (LUMC) at 120 Lower Church Road, Hartfield, invites everyone to join them this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for their traditional worship service in their historic sanctuary.
Adult Sunday school is offered Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the LUMC Fellowship Hall, preceded by Coffee Fellowship beginning at 9:15 a.m.
Their women’s choral ensemble, Wellspring, meets Monday at 6 p.m.; and at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, their handbell choir, Embellish, will practice. The community is invited to stop by LUMC Fellowship Hall Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9 a.m. for free coffeehouse drinks.

This non-denominational gathering of fellowship, worship and music has been co-hosted by Urbanna Baptist Church and Bethpage for 45 summers. When it first began, all participants brought their own lawn chairs as there was no amphitheater!

Saluda’s All Saints Anglican Church is a welcome refuge for many people of different faiths who come together for worship, praise, beautiful music, fun fellowship and sharing the enduring love of Jesus Christ. It is located at 48 New St.
All Saints is led by Bishop Jeffrey Johnson and it practices a traditional liturgy from the “1928 Book of Common Prayer” with sound theological and biblical teaching.
Share with them the Holy Communion service on Sunday mornings at 11:15 a.m., following their 10 a.m. adult Bible study. Fellowship after the church service is a warm celebration of friendship.
On Wednesdays at noon, they have a 30-minute Holy Communion service, which also includes prayers for the nation.
