Carolyn Jean Hitchcock, 85, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022.
She was a native of Springfield, Ill. and raised in Pawnee, Ill.
She had been a resident of Urbanna since 2009.
While living in Urbanna she was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Urbanna Woman’s Club.
She retired as a corporate accountant with Titan Industries.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan K. Krebs and her husband Edward of Hampton, and Lynne C. Poland of Urbanna; one sister, Virginia “Ginger” Bryant and her husband Larry of Richardson, Texas; two nieces, Shannon Napier and her husband Tim and Sarah Conlin and her husband Tim, both of Richardson, Texas; and a host of other family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Poland; and her oldest daughter, Cynthia Poland.
A memorial service is planned for noon Tuesday, Dec. 13 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 250 Fox Hill Road, Hampton, with Pastor David Fox officiating.
