Big Easter egg hunt, other fun coming up at DMM

Spring events kick off at Deltaville Maritime Museum (DMM) and Holly Point Nature Park on March 17 with the final Turner Lecture of the year featuring Master Naturalist Betsy Washington speaking on “Native Plants — Beauty, Birds and the Butterflies.”

Next up, the 15th annual DMM Easter Egg Hunt is set for 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, March 30. Festivities begin at 1 p.m. with the as usual. Family friendly hayrides, which start at 1 p.m., and the Easter Bunny will be part of the activities. There will be a photo area for pictures with the Easter Bunny. The Easter Egg Hunt itself starts promptly at 2 p.m., so make sure you get there early.

Although DMM is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. every day except Wednesday and noon-4 p.m. on Sunday, the Holly Point Park and its gardens and exhibits are open dawn to dusk year round.
