Do you have middle or high school students at home and would love for them to have a safe place to hang out with their peers? The Foundry is offering a place you can drop them off or they can drive themselves. On one Friday night of each month the newly opened Foundry is open from 6-8 p.m. Before drop off or walk in, a waiver needs to be signed by the parent and there is a $5 charge, if able. While there, they will experience free time with peers, organized competitive games and enjoy a dinner, and a variety of snacks and beverages.

In addition to games and prizes, they have a pool table, ping pong tables, musical keyboard, air hockey and electronic arcade games that are free to use during their free time. There are several areas set up for lounging on sofas and chairs to just talk and laugh. “It’s great to see them interact with each other and meet new friends,” said Bonnie Wells, wife of Rev. Wells and the nurse at Middlesex High School.

Next month, Community Game Night will be offered on Friday, March 8. They are planning a lip sync contest, open microphone night, along with other games.

The Foundry is a nonprofit organization that is offering an after school for middle and high school students. This year they are taking 12 middle school students and 12 high school students. “We just want to provide a safe place for youth to be engaged with responsible adults and with one another,” Rev. Wells said.
